Three cocktails you make yourself, in pairs, while a bartender shows you how. Between the rounds a plate comes to the table, and the conversation doesn’t start with work.
First eveningLate November, in a bar in Vienna. The date and the details go to the waiting list first.
Hosted by Kseniia. The bartender teaches the drinks.

How the evening goes
Shake. Stir. Build.
A bartender or bar chef shows each drink in a few minutes. Then you make it yourself, with a partner drawn by lot. After every round you sit back down at the table, and a plate comes with you.
I
Round one
Shake
A sour. You and your first partner learn to shake: measure, ice, ten hard seconds.
Your pair
A partner drawn by lot
At the table
The first plate and a first, easy question
II
Round two
Stir
A stirred classic. Slower and quieter, it is all in the wrist.
Your pair
A new partner
At the table
The second plate and a new topic card
III
Round three
Build
A long drink built straight in the glass, and this time you make it for another pair.
Your pair
A new partner again
At the table
The third plate and one last round of the table
0.0Every round has a non-alcoholic version. Just say so, no explanation needed.
Between the rounds
One long table, and questions that are easy to answer.
Ten to sixteen people at one table, most of whom have never met. The topics are on cards, and they are concrete. Nobody gives a talk, and nobody hands out business cards.
A place in Vienna you take your guests to
The last thing you fixed yourself
A word you love in another language
The evening is set up so that you talk to at least three different people, not only the one you came with: three rounds, three partners.
The agreements
Six simple agreements
We say them once at the start, in under five minutes, and then they are on a small card on the table.
IWe don’t start with work.
IINobody sells anything.
III“This is how it was for me”, not “you should”.
IV“Pass” is a fine answer.
VWhat is said at the table stays there. Drinks can be photographed, people can’t.
VIHealth, family, religion and politics take the evening off.
Your phone can go into an envelope at the door, if you like. You can take it back at any moment.
Your host
I ask the questions; the answers are yours. I don’t teach, coach or advise. I host the evening.
Kseniia
The bartender teaches the drinks. I keep the time, draw the pairs and bring the next question to the table.
One language per evening
Each evening runs in one language, so nobody spends it translating. You choose yours in the form.

What you take home
A card, and one line
A card with all three recipes and their non-alcoholic versions, so you can make them at home.

Three Rounds for your team
For 12 to 24 colleagues, with two bartenders. Pairs are mixed across departments and levels, and agreement one applies to the boss as well. In the evening or during the day, fully non-alcoholic if you prefer.
